A New Website Coming
Contributed by Administrator
Tuesday, November 15, 2011

Changes are coming to the Lake Wentworth Association web site. As of November 28, an updated version of the site will replace the current installation, which has been in place since 2004.

The new site will include most of the features that bring visitors to lwa.org on a daily basis now: the webcam page, the discussion forums, the photo gallery, and the lake level display. However, some features will be much improved, like the calendar, and, because the new site is much easier to administer, news items should be fresher and more topical. The lake level will still be reported and done in numeric form but also there will be a graph of the historic data. A cool feature is that you will be able to look at just this year, a five year history or just a few months. Really neat!

The Changes of Fall

Friday, October 14, 2011

Well, the leaves are changing here and many but not all of the summer visitors have left. A Little Goose Poop, You Know What I Mean......

Monday, May 9, 2011

Andrea LaMoreaux, the NH LAKES Association Education Director , says that a common question people ask every summer is: “So, what can I do about the geese on my shoreline property?”   Canada Geese are becoming a common sight around New Hampshire’s approximately 1,000 lakes and ponds. While they are beautiful, they pollute our shorelines and can cause other problems as well. They eat three or four pounds of grass a day and what goes in, must come out. It is not a pretty sight.

If you haven't paid your dues for 2011, now is a great time to do it.  If you can't find your form, you can click on the "Join the LWA" on the left side of the page and get a form to pay your dues.  We can all help protect the lake.

Your Septic System: Out of Sight, Out of Mind?
Contributed by Administrator
Tuesday, March 1, 2011

A properly working septic system helps prevent problems in our lake. When a septic system fails, it is always expensive to fix it. Proper care and knowing what can cause problems with it can help the lake and prevent a major investment in a new system.
